Twilight Series so far
Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 05:42AM The Twilight Series runs over most of the season. The results are based on corrected times so the sailors' handicaps are used. Unlike the other race series, with the Twilight Series a custom high point scoring system is used. In other words the person who gets the most points wins. The points a sailor gets depends on their place in the race based on corrected time and also the size of the fleet thay sailed in.
For instance a 1st place getter will earn about 6 points if the fleet is only 3 boats, but will get close to 11 points if the fleet is 20 boats. So the scoring system recognises that it is harder to win in bigger fleets.
If you want to see exactly how the formula works track down John Barnard at the club and he will show you.
In most of the fleets the scoring is pretty close with the exception of Bob Franks in the Laser and Jonathan McMullan in the 3.7 who have already established goodly leads. Things can change quicky though and the Twilight Series has another 10 races scheduled.
The HYC Race Committee will be reassessing all the handicaps before next weekends racing so keep a look out to see if your handicap changes.

This hugo boss has shaped me in many important ways. The first thing that Hugo boss online learned was the importance of a strong work ethic. Working long hours did a lot to mold my hugo boss shop and helped me learn the value of a hugo boss outlet. It also made me learn how to craft creative solutions to difficult hugo boss suits.
